Kambr’s Eddy Platform to Support Canada’s Newest Airline, Lynx Air, with Revenue Management & Digital Retailing Capa

Canada’s newest airline becomes the latest to launch with Kambr

After signing a software license agreement, Kambr is pleased to announce that Lynx Air (Lynx), Canada’s new ultra-affordable airline, is entrusting Kambr’s Eddy platform with its revenue management and digital retailing functionality.

“We love when we can work with airlines prior to launch, to assist in their initial go-to-market, helping them build their systems and processes from the ground up, free of any legacy obstacles or habits,” said Jason Kelly, Kambr, CEO. “Lynx Air is an ideal partner for us given their mindset, ambitions and market potential.”

The Canadian Market is Ripe for Change

This latest project represents a unique challenge, but even greater opportunity. Lynx is on a mission to make Canadian air travel accessible to all, with low fares, a fleet of brand-new Boeing 737 aircraft and great customer service.

Merren McArthur has been named CEO and President of Lynx, bringing a wealth of aviation experience to the role. She has served as CEO of ultra-low-cost carrier Tigerair Australia, CEO of Virgin Australia Regional Airlines and founding CEO of Virgin Australia Cargo.

“We are excited to bring competition and choice to the Canadian aviation market at a time when Canadians are yearning for the opportunity to fly again, whether it be to see friends and family or to take a long-awaited holiday,” McArthur said in a recent press release.

Lynx will operate a fleet of Boeing’s newest 737 aircraft, featuring leading-edge fuel-efficient technology. The airline has firm orders and lease agreements in place for a total of 46 aircraft over the next seven years to meet anticipated demand. The first three Boeing 737s will arrive in early 2022.

Helping Startup Airlines Launch Commercial Functions

Kambr is quickly becoming a desired source of help for establishing effective commercial functions and optimizing revenue quickly. Proceeded by Norway’s Flyr and South Korea’s Air Premia, Lynx is the latest airline to tap into the company’s technology and expertise to help build out its commercial capability.

“We’re pleased to partner with Kambr. Their state-of-the-art technology platform will provide real-time insights, enabling us to offer a fare structure which is simple, transparent and competitive, in keeping with our vision to inspire more Canadians to fly,” said Vijay Bathija, Chief Commercial Officer, Lynx Air.

Lynx recently announced its inaugural destinations and the launch of its booking platform. Visit FlyLynx.com for more information.
