Warehouse Safety Top Priority for BALYO AGVs

BALYO, a leader in innovative robotic solutions for material handling, released a new video highlighting the safety of their autonomous robots in the warehouse. Watch the video here.

Safety is not just a priority; it is a primary requirement. BALYO robots meet and exceed current safety standards. The front laser prevents collision with an operator or an obstacle. When an obstacle is detected in the slow down zone, the robot’s speed decreases. When there is no more obstacle, the robot starts automatically. If an obstacle enters the safety zone, the robot stops immediately. Traditional AGVs embed a 2D curtain laser, while Driven by BALYO, robots embed a 3D volumetric camera. When the robot is about to turn, it anticipates its path and adapts the safety field and thus avoids unnecessary slowdowns and stops. The rear safety field also has a slowdown and a safety zone, making Driven by BALYO robots safer and more productive. The rear mobile laser ensures the obstacles detection in height and pallet presence sensor ensures the load is well positioned on the forks.

BALYO AGVs are tested and vetted both on the distribution and manufacturing plant floors. Because they are an automated extension of familiar fork trucks the buy-in and adoption is fairly easy.

About BALYO:

BALYO is the leader in the design and development of innovative robotic solutions for material handling trucks. The company’s enhanced technological platform reduces sales cycles and benefit from the ramp-up of direct sales in the U.S.

BALYO transforms standard forklift trucks into standalone intelligent robots thanks to its breakthrough proprietary Driven by Balyo™ technology. The geoguidance navigation system developed by BALYO allows vehicles equipped with the system to locate their position in real-time and navigate autonomously inside buildings/warehouses. Within the automated handling vehicle market, the profitability of purchasing is unmatched.
