Academy Orthopedics’ Talented Doctors and Surgeons
Dr. Seidman: A board-certified orthopedic surgeon and graduate of the State University of New York Medical School, with post-graduate training at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York. His expertise includes sports injuries, shoulder surgery, general orthopedic surgery, total joint replacement, and foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. James (Trey) Duckett IV: A graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Florida, and sports medicine fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Duckett specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopy, and reconstruction, including open and arthroscopic treatment of shoulder, knee, hip, and elbow disorders. He also routinely preforms total shoulder, hip and knee replacements.
Dr. Jonathan Katz: A is a board-certified orthopedic hand surgeon and graduate of the Medical College of Virginia (VCU), completing his orthopedic surgery residency at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), and hand surgery fellowship at the University of Iowa. Dr. Katz specializes in problems of the hand, wrist, and upper extremities. In addition to his board certification in orthopedics, Dr. Katz holds a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand and is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He routinely treats a variety of upper extremity procedures including carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release, DeQuervain release, and a variety of wrist and hand fractures. Lastly, he has a special interest in wide awake hand surgery (WALANT), which offers numerous immense benefits to the patient.
