This video explores hybrid working in public sector organizations and features one of Cloudbooking’s clients, Plymouth City Council, who have fully transitioned to hybrid working with new digital tools and applications.
Like other organisations, Plymouth City Council have experienced uncertainties throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has truly transformed the way we work, paving the way for more flexible working styles and introducing employees to the concept of the hybrid workplace, a model that combines remote work and office time.
The introduction of the flexible hybrid model has been welcomed by many, particularly by employees. Cloudbooking’s ‘Hybrid Workplace: An Employee Census’ (ran in partnership with YouGov) demonstrated that:
• 55% of UK workers want flexibility in where they work, with a mix of office and home working
• 71% of 18- to 24-year-olds agree they would be more likely to return to the office environment if they could pre-book safe, socially distanced workspaces
