The role of creatives in making an impact on lives and changing stories is undeniable. And for Olasunkanmi Adesanya Ogunade, better known as SunkyOG, photography and colors are what allows him to influence perceptions positively and touch lives.
While he grew up in Nigeria with his West African family, SunkyOG considers himself a citizen of the world – having been to different parts of the world. After leaving Nigeria when he was 21, he went on to live in Asia, where he started his own media production company, SunkyOG Perspective Limited.
SunkyOG Perspective Limited offers professional photography services, branding, and media production, ranging from film making to television commercials and events coverage to content creation and providing talents for different projects, among others. Apart from these services, SunkyOG also has years of experience as an actor and international commercial model, having worked with many brands across the globe like Panasonic, Sony, and Samsung.
It was also during his time in Malaysia and Singapore when he realized that content creation and storytelling are essential to be a force in this generation. By engaging in humanitarian activities, SunkyOG has helped refugees all over the world, with major references to Malaysia, on a platform called “Paint the World Malaysia.” Lending his talents and resources has given refugees in Southeast Asia opportunities to speak up and have a better life. On top of that, he even carried out a collaboration with fugee.org in Malaysia to help girl child refugees with their ICT training and technology enlightenment.
To further advocate for causes important to him, SunkyOG held a world-class photography exhibition named “Vignettes of Co Existence,” which focused on showcasing people’s experiences with online bullying and body-shaming.
Upon relocating to the USA, SunkyOG brought SunkyOG Perspective Limited and continued working as a professional photographer, visual artist, and media production expert. And today, after 10 years of pursuing this career path, he still continues to put smiles on people’s faces with his photography style, concepts, and colors.
What makes SunkyOG different is his drive and ability to listen. Every time he creates, he always involves his subjects from the beginning to the end of his project. Not to mention he specializes in ultra-modern colors, concepts, and ideas.
Currently, SunkyOG has an international lifestyle magazine called Zoom Magazine, which encompasses everything people engage in as human beings day in, day out. He also has a YouTube channel where he uploads content and engages different personalities through his talk show, Showreel with SunkyOG.
