“The Sound of Xiamen” social media relay event was launched, and foreigners in China actively participated

The Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism launched marketing campaigns to foreigners in China from December 2021 to the Chinese Spring Festival in 2022, and the “Sound of Xiamen” social media relay event officially kicked off!

The “Sound of Xiamen” social media relay event is sponsored by the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, a brand-new precision marketing campaign for international friends in China.

With the major theme of the event being “The Sound of Xiamen”, the event revolves around five thematic sections: The Sound of Tea, The Sound of Egret, The Sound of Sea, The Sound of Piano and The Sound of Xiamen. This event is open to all foreign students, overseas Chinese people, foreign people from cross-country institutions, associations, and enterprises, as well as their family members who live in China.

Foreign friends are deeply drawn to Xiamen. they create original works related to the theme, share their own Xiamen experience, freely sing Xiamen related songs, or spread and relay Xiamen cultural tourism information to more international and domestic friends via WeChat Moments, QQ, LinkedIn, Facebook, TWITTER, and other social media.

At the beginning of Xiamen’s efforts to the BRICS PartNir Innovation Center, the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism focused on the delivery by foreign friends from the BRIC countries in China for this event. Ranging from African drumming works to Russian female singers delivering Xiamen songs to the distinctive performances of Indian students studying in China, the charm of the BRICS is everywhere.

As of the publication date, the event had been advertised to over 10,000 foreigners in China for precise promotion, and over 1,000 foreigners in China had been mobilized to participate in the social media relay. This campaign has reached foreign friends in China from various walks of life, as well as their overseas relatives and friends, the total number of people over 200,000.
