Charlotte, NC, USA – A Celebration of Us, based in Washington, DC, announces Black Excellence Week, scheduled to be held in Charlotte, NC from June 23th – 25th, 2022. The much-awaited week-long gala events promise to offer business owners and solo entrepreneurs the opportunities to promote and market their businesses. It is a great opportunity for the local community to network and expand their reach. The series of events are tailored and specifically designed to meet the requirements and needs of local participants. The focus of the events will be to support the black community and connect business owners with new customers and increase their overall success through building mutually beneficial business connections.
“Our vision is to empower all leaders of color to use their position to create positive change all over the world,” says Donovan Woodberry, Founder of A Celebration of Us. “We organize community-based local events with the objective of uplifting the local community. Visitors attending the events will be introduced to small businesses that offer services within the community. We take pride in the fact that our events exemplify the principles of excellence, equity, integrity, and professionalism.”
Black businesses are an integral part of the American economy. However, for most small local businesses, scaling is not easy given their limited resources. Unlike the big corporates, the small business owners do not have deep pockets to market and advertise their products and services.
A Celebration of Us is a brainchild of Donovan Woodberry, a serial entrepreneur and a man who exhibits a high-quality presence as well as an unfiltered, unconditional love and support for his people.
Donovan wants to help professionals and small business owners to grow and become sustainable. Networking and connectivity are important for entrepreneurs and business owners to boost their reach and relevance. A Celebration of Us bridges the gap by providing them with the platform and resources they need to get more visibility, drive business growth, acquire customers, reduce costs and improve their revenues.
“Black Excellence Week In Charlotte is for everyone who wants to connect and cultivate relationships with other like-minded people,” remarks Donovan. “We organize several events throughout the year for the benefit of the local business community. Our events see a good footfall from potential customers. The events help participants build new contacts and expand their business.”
As businesses across the world try to adjust to the disruptions caused by the pandemic, Donovan seeks to provide Black run SMEs an opportunity to get back up and establish a sustainable and successful business.
“For a business to achieve sustainable growth, it has to know how to pivot and evolve with the dynamic environment,” notes Donovan. “With a platform like Black Excellence Week, we can all grow by uniting together and supporting our fellow peers. By supporting each other, our local business community will become even stronger.”
The events are designed to allow vendors to present their brand/products to hundreds of influential consumers and reinforce their name and presence in the local community. Vendors can also set up promotions, offers, and product sampling to get more exposure for their brands.
“Our events allow participants to share business opportunities, insights, best practices, and just about anything under the sun. This is a great way to make everyone feel empowered to create a better and stronger community that could help kickstart the economy,” explains Donovan.
