Achieve Fundraising Success with Kevin Kacvinsky’s Proven Strategies

Kevin Kacvinsky is leading the way in innovative nonprofit fundraising strategies and donor engagement

Leaders, especially those of nonprofits, know how difficult it is to raise money in support for their charities. Even though there are generous people willing to financially support a cause, finding the donors and consistently persuading them to give is a whole different story. Yet, some orgnaizations make it look so easy. “Fundraising doesn’t have to be stressful,” says expert and fundraising gude Kevin Kacvinsky, “achieving sustainable fundraising success is possible.”

“Fundraising is hard enough as it is, don’t go about it alone. You can hit your goals year after year,” says Kevin. As a strong proponent of donor-centric fundraising, he believes that “all successful fundraising comes from successful communications.” According to him, the biggest mistake nonprofits are making is not communicating between appeals. When an organization asks for money they need to report on the results and show impact before they can ask again. Through his services, Kevin teaches what he calls the “ask-to-touchpoint ratio.” That is: for every ask, there must be at least three communications made where the organization does not ask for money before they earn their right to ask again.

According to Kevin, the second mistake committed by fundraisers is that they often forget to thank the donors. “I can’t tell you how many organizations fail to thank donors. They cash the check, pat themselves on the back, and sometimes send a tax receipt. These are the same people that wonder why donors aren’t giving again. It is our duty to make the donor the superhero if we expect them to stick around” he exclaims. Kevin even calls the lack of thanking donors “an embarrassment to our industry.”

As a nonprofit leader himself, Kevin knows how important it is to thank donors. Through his coaching services, he is a real trendsetter, teaching nonprofits to thank donors not once, but six times for every gift. “Nobody ever stopped giving because they were too appreciated.”

Making use of his educational background in mental health, Kevin successfully developed a system that merges psychology with marketing and communications, creating what he calls “engagement” – resulting in “happy donors that bring their friends.”

By leading the way in developing innovative fundraising strategies—engaging donors—Kevin continues to help nonprofit executives transform their organizations and raise more money to expand their mission.
