The NFT market is experiencing an influx of projects on a daily basis, many with big communities, long term utility and great developers in the realm. Once such project, CryptOcean, has been building momentum since October 2021, with a loyal following and enthusiastic community.
CryptOcean is one to watch, with regular updates on Twitter, the team is teasing big technological advances within the NFT space. NFT projects typically distribute artwork in 2D or 3D JPEG format to their holders, secured on the blockchain, but the CryptOcean Crew, as they are known, have developed a new technology which gives all holders full access and ownership of their own 3D mermaid which can be viewed in augmented reality on the CryptOcean AR Mobile App, launching post mint, or converted to STL files for 3D printing. This utility goes beyond anything distributed by bluechip projects, and it gives owners tangible value both in the metaverse, and in real life.
The mission focuses on ocean preservation, hoping to expose a new audience of investors and ocean activists to the NFT community, to raise funds for ocean conservation charities. The first collection, Mermaids Pink Lighthouse Club (MPLC) has been created by a team of highly skilled 3D artists from around the globe, with 10,000 mermaids, all made with unique identities and differing rarity scales.
