Altia announces code generation support for the Telechips TCC805x (Dolphin3) system-on-chip (SoC). This combination of Altia and Telechips technologies is suited for global automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers designing automotive cockpit applications for production vehicles.
The TCC805x is the newest generation SoC from Telechips, designed to serve autonomous vehicles, full integrated cockpits, cluster applications, in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) and ADAS systems. Telechips’ flexible design is based on Arm® Cortex®-A72 Quad core and Arm Cortex-A53 Quad core. The chip includes a 2D/3D graphics engine that provides impressive performance for vivid, rich embedded graphics, supporting multi-display and hardware virtualization for this Hypervisor-Less Cockpit (HLC) solution.
Altia’s graphical user interface software—which includes an advanced embedded HMI editor and graphics code generator—is exceptionally suited for high power hardware like the Telechips TCC805x SoC. The Altia tool suite enables designers and engineers to create advanced embedded graphics with a streamlined, state-of-the-art workflow. Altia software allows for quick, easy iterations of dynamic, integrated 2D and 3D graphics for clusters, head-up displays, infotainment systems, full integrated cockpit applications and beyond automotive applications like motorcycles, agricultural and construction equipment, off-road vehicles and more. Leveraging Altia as a single solution for the entire cockpit, design teams can create a truly unified look and feel across all vehicle displays—delivering an enhanced driver and passenger experience. Altia DeepScreen software for Telechips TCC805x is architected to take advantage of the full array of features on chip to deliver high performance, production-ready C code.

“We are grateful that Telechips has the opportunity to partner with Altia. Telechips believes the cooperation with Altia will help develop the performance and reliability of automotive systems and expand the market in Europe.” says Stanley Kim, Business Unit Leader at Telechips. By cooperating with Altia, Telechips secures a fail-safety solution partner, which will reinforce customer confidence in the company’s solutions.
“With the powerful feature set available on the Telechips Dolphin3 and Altia’s production-proven user interface software, automakers can design and deploy an integrated cockpit with multiple operating systems, including Android, and maintain a truly branded user experience in every screen of the cockpit. Because the Dolphin3 does not require a hypervisor, users are able to run multiple operating systems and applications on the partitions of the SoC for faster boot times and performance. We are excited to offer our code generation solutions for this solution,” stated Michael Hill, Altia Vice President of Engineering.
