The Los Angeles based brand offers luxury mobile airbrush tanning services, as well as a wide range of at home self tanning products; formulated to produce natural looking, golden bronze tans.
Unlike tanning beds and traditional sun tanning, BeautyMarks’ products and services eliminate the exposure to dangerous UV rays that are known to cause premature aging, sun spots, eye damage and even an increased risk of skin cancer. Instead, they promote healthy skin by incorporating anti-aging and extra hydrating properties into their formulation. The result is a sun-kissed glow and an instant confidence boost.
“My main goal is to make women feel confident and beautiful in their own skin,” says BeautyMarks founder Brittnye Marks.
She personally works with each client by going to their homes and providing airbrush tanning services and is meticulous about making them feel safe and comfortable. Brittnye says, “It can be scary to strip down in front of a stranger for a beauty service. I find a lot of women avoid it altogether because of this. I want them to know that it’s a judgement free zone.” Brittnye is also certified with the Board of Dermatology to notice any possible signs of skin cancer. “I can see areas of my clients’ bodies that are difficult for them to see. I am certified to notice changes in my client’s skin to keep an eye out for any skin cancer indications.”
Her tanning solutions are custom-mixed based on each client’s unique skin undertones and desired outcome.
“Some clients want to be super dark for a vacation, while a bride would want a more natural glow”, she says. “It is important to adjust the coloring I use for what each client wants.” All of her products do not contain any harmful chemicals and are vegan and cruelty-free.
As a true innovator, Brittnye is always looking for ways to improve her business and services with continuing her education to keep up with the sunless industries’ latest products and techniques. She hopes to increase awareness about the dangers of UV rays and help more women feel empowered in their own skin, so they don’t resort to dangerous beauty practices and sacrifice their health in any way. “I don’t think most women know how bad the sun is for their skin. A sunburn you have when you’re 20 can cause skin cancer in your 50’s. It’s so important to spread this knowledge in order to help early prevention of sun damage.”
