Canadian Immigration Services Super Visa Program Update Leaves No Stone Unturned

Following an increase in Canadian visa applications, Canadian Immigration Services (CIS) has announced a new program launched by the government of Canada to help caregivers, comprising parents and grandparents, easily visit their loved ones. Dubbed the Super Visa, the 10-year multiple entry visa eliminates the burden of renewing immigration documents for re-entries into Canada.

In addition to the hassle-free immigration process, the visa program offers eligible holders the option to extend their stay for up to 24 months per visit. It is available to select family members of those with Canadian citizenship or permanent residency. Other Prerequisites include:

  • Supplying a signed statement from the host verifying provisional support throughout the stay.
  • Not having any criminal or non-criminal grounds to deny entry.
  • Proving that the host fulfils the required income threshold.
  • Passing an Immigration Medical Examination (IME).
  • Possessing Canadian medical insurance for at least one year.

These aside, the visa application centre also takes cognizance of the applicants’ candidness in providing relevant documentation and their intention to return home once their stay is officially over. The officials evaluate the:

  • Aim of the visit
  • Financial and family situations of applicants
  • Ties between applicants and their countries of origin
  • Stability of applicants’ home countries

Super Visa holders can visit alone or with their spouses or common-law partners, who may apply under the program, but not with their dependants. The immigration agency has taken the application experience to a whole new level by offering free consultations, which are provided after the submission of applications.

Commenting on the visa program announcement, a consultancy firm spokesperson advises that the application process commences after the applicants have been vetted to ascertain their eligibility. It could take a few weeks for the visa office to process and approve the application. The application process entails some legal processes that may not be clear to everyone.

Thus, to ensure that applications comply with the set requirements, clients are encouraged to consult with the Canadian Immigration Services’ team of experienced consultants who will help them complete and submit the relevant documents. In a conclusive statement, the spokesperson remarked, “At the core of our service is our commitment to helping parents and grandparents experience the joys of extended family life in Canada.

“While the government of Canada has made substantial improvements to the program to accommodate growing demand, applications must still be submitted through an authorized channel. At Canadian Immigration Services, we are proud to help thousands of applicants successfully navigate the requirements of the program. We will always support our clients through each step of the process, leaving no stone unturned.”

Interested applicants can learn more about the program by filling out a contact form on the company’s official website.
