Recap of BinanceNFT x ArchLoot AMA on August 11th, 2022

A conversation with a Binance NFT community

August 17th, 2022 – Singapore – On August 11th, 2022, ArchLoot had an informative and interesting conversation with the Binance NFT community. The team highlighted its plan of the 2nd phase of the closed beta test that will start on August 18th, and updated relative upcoming events.

Here is the recap of the session:

Q1: Can you give us an introduction of the project?

Jonathan

ArchLoot is an NFT-based UGC game built on BNB Chain, we can also say it’s an RPG game based on user-generated content, and for this reason, we want to place our users at the center of the project. Too many game companies have forgotten that they are making games because they liked games in the first place and you can feel it. We are creating the project for the user base, we want ArchLoot to be a fair and balanced project for all users.

Q2: How do you differentiate ArchLoot from other GameFi projects?

Dirk

This is indeed a really good and important question. The first difference would be our technology and UGC elements. As explained, ArchLoot provides the first interactive gameplay in the industry, which fully enables on-chain implementation of upgradeable characters/props NFTs.

UGC elements in ArchLoot come from user-designed avatars, and user-oriented community strategy and also come about from mainstream media outlets facilitating amateurs to publish content. Our technology ensures that all these parts are highly editable and renderable anytime.

We’d like to breeze some fresh air into the industry, by enabling the gamers to achieve what they want in the way they feel good.

Jonathan

I’d even add, that Web3 gaming is a space where everyone should be a winner. I do hope we achieve levels like Axie infinity, and in every spectrum of our project vision & design, I even hope more that with joint efforts of GameFi, we can make play-to-earn a better play-and-earn place.

Q3: Who are the core members developing ArchLoot? What is your experience with the gaming industry?

Jonathan

As for me, I worked for years serving game publishers such as Yostar, Aoshitang,

Mars game, and Taptap and in projects such as Arknights, Ragnarok, Azur Lane, and Ulala: Idle Adventure.

And the team comes from different horizons. Our COO Gavin has been a c-level member and consultant in blockchain projects. Our advisor Duke co-founded Blockchaingame.com. It can be considered a success in 2017, reaching a $10m net profit.

Dirk

Our members have accumulated much gaming publishing experience during 2017-2019. A lot of research has been done to keep the game sustainable in the long run. We released an experimental game, mir1 on the iost chain, and made many enhancements based on community opinions. It was a good practice, which paved our way.

Q4: What’s different about ArchLoot NFTs? Why should gamers and investors care about your mystery boxes?

Dirk

We have just finished the 2nd wave of NFT sales on Binance. It is now a good time to further elaborate on our value.

In fact, the game itself is free-to-play. So why should people invest in NFTs?

Firstly, NFTs are significant for your playability and profitability. Avatars in ArchLoot are assembled and designed freely by gamers with NFT body parts. These parts are divided into four levels according to their rarity — common, rare, epic, and legendary — corresponding to 1, 2, 3, and 4 attributes respectively.

Some of these parts also have separate special skills.

However, the most important thing about our NFT, which makes them unique, is our protocol, EIP 4985 and BEP 129. I’m not going to explain the technology in detail here. However, these two innovated protocols allowed smooth player/NFT interaction as well as interoperability.

Gamers have assets more than a static jpeg, but a ‘live’ part that its metadata can be changed and protected by a treasury contract.

So to sum up the reasons, 1. The NFT technology is like nothing else. 2. The NFT looks badass and has superior attributes. 3. increased playability. 4. collectability value.

Q5: Could you update some hot news or significant events of  ArchLoot in the following weeks or months?

Jonathan

The first nearing big thing would be: all of our mystery box holders can see what’s inside very soon! Whether you have purchased the 1st wave or 2nd wave NFTs, you can visit our official website. in the next few days to actually open the box. An official ‘open it’ notice will be dropped as soon as we’re ready. Stay tuned!

Our next phase of the Closed Beta Test is approaching. We are ready for the full version of the game, with better compatibility, graphics, and deeper maps. With heaps of events coming up, why don’t you sign up for a seat in this test:

https://forms.gle/fis5uMbk2o2r7RQZA Promise the game won’t let you down!

Q6: Why should community members participate in your Close Beta Test?

Dirk

Have you heard of Spore? It is our dream to build a Spore-like crypto game and we might just have done it! ArchLoot pursuits playability and it has always been our top priority to build a good game.

Last CBT was a hit. For the second phase, we’ll be rolling out more excitement and surprises. Fill it in & start your journey with us. https://forms.gle/fis5uMbk2o2r7RQZA

Q7: Can you elaborate on more details of the upcoming official launch?

Jonathan

We have been efficient in delivering milestone objectives, including beta tests and NFT launching. The official launch of the game will be no exception. Belgian efficiency ? ah, no we say German efficiency.

During the 1st CBT, we have successfully tested the game already, the phase 2 of the test is coming up this month on August 18. The open beta will follow up. The project has little to few bugs per say. It is a working product already.  For the official launch, we’ll be providing better compatibility, including the iOS system, enhancing graphics and technical details, and pushing out an even more ready game that is definitely a top-tier product within the industry.

Q8: What kind of characters are there in the  game? Do we need to pay separately for character and skills in the game?

Dirk

In ArchLoot, players compose their own characters from NFT body parts. Even though all NFT body parts come from four categories (head, upper limb, lower limb, accessories), the number of combinations is infinite.

Moreover, since players can adjust the size, rotation, color, symmetry and other details of each part, every character is unique looking.

The game is free to play, and bosses drop lootbox which can produce rare NFTs. However, players require a lot of skills to defeat bosses if he/she has the common gear.

For NFT mystery box holders, they will be granted one scarce body part/box, which could have unique abilities that will aid them in the game.

Therefore I would say you don’t have to pay for NFTs, however, it will help.

Q9: Most players want to in profitable games, so how will ArchLoot become a fun metaverse and where players can make more profits everyday?

Jonathan

The best would be that you talk to one of our first wave mystery box holders, which was sold for 100$ and had a floor price of $500+. We have daily quests as other games, our gameplay is not simple like other gamefi projects, we actually could be referenced as a traditional game yet we decided to use our technology to move into Gamefi because we believe in this technology. Aside from this answer, we have gathered a team from all horizons, we have security engineers, people coming from AAA game titles, staff coming from DeFi, and some coming from traditional finance, its not always easy to make compromises with everybody but it’s been a couple of years we’re working together and now we’re used to it. the most important for us is always to think. Is this gonna please our users? Is it gonna be for the better good?
