August 17, 2022 – Capucia Publishing today announced the release of its latest book, I Am with You Everywhere: Finding Solace in the Mists of Grief by author Kim Han, a portrait of a parent’s journey into bereavement and healing.
Losing a child is considered the greatest trauma and stressor a human can experience. Studies show that bereaved parents suffer greater challenges psychologically and biologically, ranging from broken-heart syndrome to chronic grief and depression. How does a parent cope with a loss that feels like part of their own heart has been ripped out of their bodies, leaving their hopes and dreams shattered? Kim Han found herself asking these questions when she lost her beloved daughter, Siu-Ling. Years prior, Han had a near-death experience but it was losing Siu-Ling that gave her the understanding of why she was spared, and that her purpose was to guide others through the different stages of grief to find a place of healing and meaning.
Han delves into numerous aspects of parent bereavement, including: the often-undiagnosed physical impact of losing a loved one; the healing power that always surrounds us that we tend to take for granted; how to empower ourselves to take control of our healing and our lives; how to honor our lost loved ones and feel their loving presence; and how to raise our awareness of the subtle message that love transcends all dimensions.
“Tears will flow as your heart is renewed by the power of love in this lifetime… and beyond,” says Dr. Kymn Harvin, author of The Soul of America Speaks: Wisdom for Healing and Moving Forward. “This is a book you don’t want to miss.”
Leahanne Prolas, MEd, RP (Registered Psychotherapist/Counselor) notes, “Kim’s story guides us through a journey of loss, struggle, and perseverance. A truly comforting read for grieving parents.”
“Grief. Love. Loss. Healing. Stillness. Movement. I feel honored to be able to read this amazing book,” states Michael Overlie, Canine-Partnered Energy Coach, energy healer, and author of Let Your Dog Lead.
Kim Han, MA, MLIS, is a retired librarian and author of The Canadian Inuit Dog: Icon of Canada’s North. She wrote I Am with You Everywhere: Finding Solace in the Mists of Grief to honor her daughter, a wildlife biologist and dog teamer who lived and worked in Canada’s North for almost two decades.
