On-line Course Breathes New Life Into Ancient Practice

Pranayama Expert Teaches How Only 10-Minutes a Day Can Positively Affect the Nervous System

(September 17, 2022)…The ancient yogic practice of Pranayama is breathing new life into a world that’s been collectively holding its breath these last few years. Prana means “vital life force” and yama “to gain control” in Sanskrit and this is exactly what participants will learn during Ancient Breathing 2.0, a new course taught by Breathwork expert, Harmony Slater.

Pranayama has a long, rich history, dating back to the Sixth Century BCE, mentioned in early yoga texts such as the Bhagavad Gita, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and Hatha Yoga Pradipika. The breathwork techniques and strategies used in Pranayama have been proven to reduce stress, decrease anxiety, increase mental clarity and give lasting energy throughout the day. Other benefits of this ancient breathwork technique include better sleep and fewer digestive issues.

“After studying and practicing yoga and Pranayama for over twenty years, I wanted to make these ancient and somewhat esoteric practices accessible to others, who wouldn’t necessarily seek out these exercises,” explains Harmony Slater, creator of Ancient Breathing 2.0. “So I created this course to share these powerful tools and practices with others whom I noticed were really struggling with anxiety, overwhelm, and burnout. It’s amazing how much you can physically change your nervous system by adding ten minutes of conscious breathing to your day.”

“Since beginning with breathwork, I’ve lost ten pounds, my skin rashes have cleared up, and my shoulder pain is almost completely gone. Developing a Pranayama practice had everything to do with it!”, exclaims Camille Downs-Lanctot, a student of Slater.

Ancient Breathing 2.0 is a live course taught virtually over seven weeks, beginning September 18th. No prior yoga experience is required and people of all ages and fitness levels are welcome. For more information: https://harmonyslater.com/ancient-breathing-2-0
