PicRam Secures Seed Investment of €500k and Is Primed to Take the Event Scene by Storm

PicRam – Instant Photo Sharing

Ireland-based startup PicRam.ie has today announced that it has secured a seed investment of €500,000. The funding will be used to support the development of the app and to grow the team.

PicRam is a photo and video sharing app that makes it easy and fun to capture and share memories from all types of events. The app is perfect for wedding guests, concert-goers, family holidaymakers, sports fans and more. With PicRam, users can follow their friends and celebrities, and be sure to never miss a moment.

What sets PicRam apart is the focus on making it easy to capture and share memories from all types of events – not just the big moments in life like weddings and birthdays, but also the small, everyday moments that make up the fabric of our lives.

PicRam was founded by Johnpaul Manning and Kevin Mahon, who saw a need for a tool that would enable people to share photos and videos from events more easily.

The app allows users to create personalised event albums which can be shared with friends, family and other guests. With PicRam, there’s no need for multiple camera memory cards at events or hours spent trawling through Facebook to find that one great photo your cousin took. PicRam is perfect for weddings, concerts, following celebrities and friends, family holidays, and any other type of event where users want to share photos and videos.

The app is available to download now from PicRam.ie

Commenting on the investment, Johnpaul Manning said: “We are delighted to have secured this investment, which will allow us to bring PicRam to a wider audience. “Kevin Mahon added: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to grow our business and make a real impact in the market.”

Kevin continued: “We are delighted to have secured this investment, which will allow us to continue developing the app and growing our team. PicRam is already making waves in the Irish market, and we’re looking forward to taking it global.”

The app provides a platform for users to share photos and videos from events such as weddings, concerts, sporting events and family holidays. It also allows users to follow celebrities and friends, and see updates from events they are interested in.

PicRam has been designed to be simple and easy to use, with a focus on high-quality visuals. The app’s interface is clean and user-friendly, making it easy for users to navigate their way around the app and find the content they are looking for.

The startup has also announced that Yvonne O’Toole has joined the team as New Business Manager. Yvonne has a background in wedding planning and event management, and she will be responsible for PicRam’s growth strategy.

Speaking about the new hire Johnpaul commented “Yvonne O’Toole is a highly experienced leader with over 16 years of experience in the wedding industry. She has managed her own singing academy, VOICE By Yvonne O’Toole, for the past two years and has helped her students achieve success in their singing grades with the RIAM, and perform to a sold out audience during Birr Vintage Festival.”

“As a woman leader entering into a male-dominated industry, she is a role model for other women looking to enter the field. We believe that her perspective will be invaluable as we work to create an inclusive environment at Picram and encourage other talented women to join.”

Yvonne has made a number of appearances in Ireland’s most popular wedding magazine, CONFETTI Magazine, featuring as one of the “Experts in the Industry”. The wedding ceremony singer was nominated for two years in a row & also became a finalist in the “Mrs2Be Bride’s Choice Awards” in the category “Best Wedding Ceremony Singer.”

Yvonne also features on the Irish Wedding Blog Podcast with Sara Kennedy, One Fab Day wedding suppliers website & is also a member of the Wedding International Professional Association. While also travelling globally and advising her high-end clients with their wedding planning and entertaining, Yvonne has also performed with the world-renowned Celtic Tenors, who welcomed Yvonne as their special guest performer for their concert in Ireland.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the team at PicRam during this exciting period of growth,” said Yvonne. “The app is unique in its offering, and I’m looking forward to working with our customers to capture all their special moments.”

Yvonne added: “This is a really exciting time for PicRam. We have a great product and an experienced team in place to take it to the next level. I’m looking forward to working with Johnpaul, Kevin and the rest of the team to grow the business. I am thrilled to be joining PicRam at such an exciting time. I believe that the app has great potential, and I am looking forward to helping the team achieve their goals.

“Manning continued “Yvonne O’Toole is a woman of many talents who has accomplished much in her career thus far. From opening up her own singing academy to becoming a successful wedding make-up artist, we are lucky to have many amazing women leaders here in Ireland and Yvonne is one of them leading the charge. There’s no doubt that she’ll continue to achieve great things in the years to come. We can’t wait to see what she does next!”

PicRam has been growing rapidly since it launched in March 2021. It now has over 40,000 users in over 8 countries who have used PicRam to capture and share over 1 million memories and create 7,000 events.

PicRam is already receiving rave reviews from early users. One user said: “I’ve been using PicRam for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it! It’s so easy to use and it’s perfect for keeping all my photos and videos from events in one place.” Another said: “I’ve tried a few different photo sharing apps but none of them have been as good as PicRam. This one is definitely my new favourite.”

The app is becoming increasingly popular with event organisers and venues as it offers a unique way for guests to document and share their experience and capture photos of the event that they wouldn’t have otherwise. It also gives the event organisers access to photos and videos that typically they would never see or have access to.

Commenting on the investment, Manning said: “The future of PicRam is very exciting. We have a strong pipeline of features that make it easy and fun for people to capture and share their memories planned for release over the coming months. Some of the new features we are working on include the ability to print photos, create albums, and print your photos onto custom clothing, improved image and video quality and faster upload and downloading times.”

“We will also be introducing new ways to monetize PicRam, including selling prints, creating albums, and we are also working on adding business accounts so that businesses can promote their events with PicRam. All exciting new features that will bring PicRam to Phase 3 of our growth strategy”.

“PicRam is free to download and use but we do have plans to generate revenue in the future. Our primary revenue streams will be from selling prints of photos, allowing users to create albums, and offering business accounts for promotions. We are also exploring partnerships with major event venues so that we can sell tickets directly through our app.”
