KIP Group continues to support and play a role in exporting domestically made steel produced by the oldest and leading steel company in Indonesia, namely Krakatau Steel.
PT Krakatau Jasa Logistik (KJL) is a subsidiary of PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera (KBS) or often known as Krakatau International Port Group (KIP Group).
Director of Operations of PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera, Cahyo Antarikso, said that he was proud of all the cooperation of the KIP Group team so that they could continue to improve their performance and prove that the awards they have received are worthy of acceptance by KIP.
“We hope to continue to improve this performance and currently Krakatau Steel (KS) has entrusted its steel export services to KJL. This is the first time KS has used KJL’s export services to Malaysia and has already been exported to Malaysia,” said Cahyo on Thursday (10/11/2022).
PT Krakatau Jasa Logistik (KJL) released the first shipment for the export of PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk (KS) steel products to Malaysia at the Krakatau Bandar Samudera Pier (Krakatau International Port) in Cilegon, Banten. This is momentum for KJL’s export shipments to introduce to the business world as a leading integrated logistics service company.
Last week, PT Krakatau Jasa Logistik was awarded ‘As The Fast Emerging Integrated Logistics Service Company Of The Year’ at the 2022 Bisnis Indonesia Logistics Awards.
In addition, the (CEO) of Krakatau International Port Group (KIP Group), Akbar Djohan, also received an award in one of the same award categories, namely ‘The Most Innovative CEO in Creating an International Industrial Non-Container Hub Port in Indonesia’.
This proves that KIP Group has proven its real work and has a positive impact and can accelerate in supporting the export of domestically made products, one of which is Steel.
“If you look at the data in KS, this export figure is the highest annual achievement as long as KS was established. Through KJL, KIP Group will also support the increase in national exports with integrated logistics services,” said Cahyo.
Cahyo also added that, in the future, KJL will improve KS export services to Malaysia and help export steel to KS customers in other countries.
“To maximize service to KJL customers, we also sent a team to Malaysia to meet KS customers in Malaysia, exploring integrated logistics services. This is also one of our efforts to maximize the increase in national exports,” said Cahyo.
Finally, Cahyo also explained that this performance is one of KJL’s services and efforts to support exports, especially those carried out by Krakatau Steel. Because KJL has a function in industrial assistance in increasing the country’s foreign exchange and is an instrument in national economic recovery, it is hoped that this export will contribute to Krakatau Steel in particular and increase state revenues. And finally, with this integration, it is hoped that the industry in Cilegon will also continue to advance.
