Imagine, a workspace that optimizes productivity through high-tech features and award winning coffee. Ergonomic seating that delivers privacy, comfort and dynamic ways to work, gather and meet. With time saving features such as high-speed, secure wifi and a workshop robot that delivers your order. Accompanied by temperature and lighting controls to help maximize focus; And, stress reducing elements such as gravity blankets, soundproofing pods, and pristine air quality to intensify efficiency while at ease. VEL, a next generation premium work cafe imagined that too; So they built a store in Savannah, Georgia and are continuing to build stores around the nation.
The concept of VEL was born in 2020. Co-founders Mo Hamzian (CEO) and Jack Gunn (CFO) drove over 2,000 miles and began beta testing users as a resource to help in developing their state of the art products featured in stores. As constraints from the pandemic continued to cripple much of the workforce, the team strived to have a revolutionary space ready and available for workers once COVID restrictions were lifted.
After months of testing and development, the fast growing start up began telling its story. However, before making their way to the market the team hit the road again; This time driving over 5,000 miles and visiting over 100 cafes and work spaces as a continuum of market research. In doing so, they secured the knowledge of what large corporations and small businesses did not have; how to maintain and maximize levels of productivity. The VEL mission quickly developed into making space, with features and amenities to help workers get twice as much done in half the time.
In 2021, VEL began capitalizing on the shortcomings of powerhouse companies and made plans to open up stores around the country. The VEL products and menu are unlike anything one might find at a coworking space or coffee shop. Through meticulous research and specific engineering, the company has found ways to combat enemies of productivity and enhance performance levels.
After almost three years of being in business, VEL has since opened their flagship store in Savannah, Georgia and is quickly expanding. Stores in Charlotte, Nashville and Charleston are set to open from early to mid 2023 and the premium work cafes will not stop there. VEL will continue to grow across the country and has plans to expand into large cities.
