Therapyland Innovative Approaches to Pediatric Therapy Provides Opportunities for Georgia Children to Achieve Developmental Milestones

According to the National Center for Education Statistics, there are more than 7.2 million special needs children across the United States. In other words, more than 15% of all public-school-age students fall within this category.

This quarter, the Georgia-based pediatric centers, Therapyland, discuss its mission to provide the highest quality Early Intensive Behavioral Interventionand therapy, creating a collaborative relationship between therapists and parents in an effort to help their children achieve exceptional outcomes.

The Importance of Early Intervention in Positive Outcomes

In an analysis published by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (2021), early interventions for autism and other behavioral and developmental disorders showed a significant improvement in long-term positive outcomes and life skills as the children grew older. Similarly, early intervention reduced ‘regression’ that many children with autism suffer from as they approach ages 2-3.

The Inspiration Behind Therapyland’s Success

Therapyland was founded by Thane and Cheri Brooks, parents of a child with Autism who knew all too well the challenges their daughter would face out in the real world. Identifying a clear gap in the availability of pediatric therapy centers, the duo sought to establish a new kind of environment; one that would be inviting, comfortable, and impactful for children with special needs.

Together, the pair established Therapyland, putting children’s progress and outcomes before profit, and committing to helping special needs children throughout Georgia communities thrive.

At Therapyland, children work with brilliant therapists in a fun and engaging environment, utilizing the latest tools and innovative therapeutic techniques to achieve excellent results.
