PROVO, UTAH, January 13, 2014, Sometimes the most innovative ideas are born from existing concepts, that simply stated, are made better. This is exactly what Brian Daniel South, Founder of Teach By Magic, has done by creating “The Different Deck”. This is a new take on an old idea. Playing cards have been around for centuries, but the world has never seen a deck of playing cards like “The Different Deck”. Teach By Magic is an online source for educators to learn simple magic tricks, visual aids, attention getters, object lessons, and in general to engage students and make learning fun and unforgettable.
What Brian and his team have done is introduce a new paradigm of thinking involving the use of a deck of playing cards. Use of these specially designed and illustrated playing cards reminds people to “Think out of the box”, and look for more in every day life.
During a recent interview, Brian had this to say about “The Different Deck”: “You could spend hours and hours exploring these cards and still find knew things. The deck was years in the making and features over 100 languages and numeric systems from around the world. There are science references, math references, history, and even pop culture icons hidden in the deck.”
Teach By Magic has launched a Kickstarter Campaign to help raise funds to bring the project to the next level. It has already exceeded expectations, and is expected to be one of the more successful Kickstarter Campaigns. This phase of the campaign will be used to further develop “The Different Deck”, and to hopefully see it placed in major retail outlets across the country. It is a great opportunity to be part of history and see the world embrace “The Different Deck” for its true value in educating, engaging and enlightening our youth to be more creative. There are rewards offered that will become lifelong collectors items.
