Permaculture Farm Teaches The Community An Invaluable Lesson — How to Be Self-Reliant?

Heritage Harvest Farm Launches Kickstarter Campaign to Expand Workshop Space

Jasper, Canada – April 30, 2015Heritage Harvest Farm is Ontario’s first year round farm that offers a full diet that is strictly CSA, which means all produce and meats provided are community supported agriculture. It is a 36-acre organic, self-sustaining, permaculture farm that provides the community with quality food. Owners, Angela and Pascal Peladeau, hope to expand the workshop and training they provide into a larger space and into a classroom setting. To make this possible, they launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $18,000 by May 27th, 2015.

The farm provides fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs. There are natural grown chickens that provide fresh eggs and quality meat, along with cows, beef, turkeys, and pigs. Heritage Harvest Farm also produces maple syrup and delicious artisan bread. There is abundance of produce that are fresh year round. Families in the surrounding area sign up for the CSA program, which provides them with a weekly basketful of seasonal produce. The program also gives maple syrup, artisan bread, organic free-range eggs, and various meats.

The unique program gives customers comfort and peace of mind knowing where their food comes from and how it is grown. Angela and Pascal have spent over 10 years perfecting the program, while building a sustainable farm that does not compromise on quality or farming practices. The farm already teaches many folks in the community. Teaching people traditional skills to become more self-reliant. Classes that they offer are cheese making, gardening, preserving, bread baking, and curing/smoking meats.

Heritage Harvest Farm is dedicated to learning, growing, and sharing this knowledge with the larger community. This is why they hope to build a separate classroom to teach more people how they can grow their own food, save money while still preparing healthy food, and offer valuable knowledge that can be passed down through the generations. Angela and Pascal hope to bring local food and homestead entrepreneurs in to teach as well. Yoga classes will also be available and taught by Angela, who is a certified yoga instructor. Optimizing heath of mind and body.
