Announcement of the 2016 PADI IDC Indonesia with Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod

Over the course of 2016 there will be 10 chances to join the PADI Instructor Development Course held at Trawangan Dive, Gili Trawangan Indonesia. The course will run every month on an 11 day schedule with an additional 4 days of pre-IDC preparation.

July 9th – 19th July (Pre-IDC 4th – 8th July)
August 13th – 23rd Aug (Pre-IDC 08th – 12thAug)
September 17th – 27th Sept (Pre-IDC 12 – 16th Sept)
October 17th – 21st Oct (Pre-IDC 17th – 21st Oct)
Nov / Dec 26th – 6th Dec (Pre-IDC 21st – 25th Nov)

IDC preparation is crucial to the candidates learning experience as they will review the Divemaster Course components including dive theory, knowledge and skills which are relevant to IDC training and make the smoothest possible transition into the course itself.

The Instructor Development course (IDC) incorporates all of the mandatory PADI components; As well as learning about the PADI Standards and Procedures and Risk Assessment; practical workshops will include the Controlled Emergency Swimming Assent (CESA), Decents, Student Control, Sales, Marketing and Business workshops. Candidates will also learn about specific PADI programs such as Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) program, Open water, Adventures in diving, PADI Specialty Courses, the Rescue Diver and Divemaster Course.

Candidates will also learn how to plan and conduct classroom, confined and open water presentations in a way that their future students will learn in a fun, exciting and educational way.

Trawangan Dive was the first ever established PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (CDC) in Lombok and the Gili Islands and today remains the only CDC Center in Gili Trawangan; Instructors in training can be safe in the knowledge that the dive center has both the facilities and experience as the premier instructor training facility within the Asia Pacific region.
