At the Wave is a series of educational songs and videos that allows children to learn about sound through the medium of music. Creator Alicia Patterson has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the production of MP3s and videos in the series and to distribute this music to children everywhere.
At The Wave is an educational children’s series that teaches about sound with singing and dancing through the format of a play. Those who have seen the play, which features 14 songs, have requested a video and audio version. Creator Alicia Patterson has launched the Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to produce MP3s and videos of the individual songs as well as the full play in the form of a series based on the characters. The songs include: “Sound Waves,” “Amplitude,” “The Frequency Flow,” “Let’s Talk About the Air,” “Duration,” and “My Ears.” Each song teaches one of the principles of sound and how sound travels.
The Kickstarter campaign will raise funds which will be used to pay for videography, time in a video studio, talent, editing, wardrobe, meals while on the set and a sound editor. The final product will be released as a series of both videos and MP3 downloads so that users can enjoy one or all of the songs from the series. As seen at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1649354112/at-the-wave-series, the Kickstarter campaign offers pledge levels from $10 to $1,000, with perks ranging from single MP3 downloads to full episodes of the video series.
