Kirkpatrick and Lai Orthodontists Help Foster Children In Need

TULSA, Oklahoma – October, 16th 2015 – Kirkpatrick and Lai Orthodontics is helping children within Oklahoma in a big way through their “Giving Smiles, Giving Birthdays” program. The rapidly expanding family orthodontic practice has been donating $10 to the Royal Family Kids Camp with every new patient who starts treatment. The Royal Family Kids camp has been described by many as the nation’s leading network of camps and mentor clubs for children of abuse, neglect and abandonment.

In the United States the statistics related to child abuse, neglect and abandonment are overwhelming and heart wrenching, yet the leadership team at Kirkpatrick and Lai has decided to tackle this epidemic head on. According to the Royal Family Kids website, within American, annually 3.6 million cases of child abuse, abandonment or neglect are reported. One of the victims dies every 6 hours due to the abuse they receive.

According to Kirkpatrick and Lai partner and orthodontist Dr. Joe Lai, “I decided as a company, we were going to adopt this amazing charity and do everything we can to give back by launching our “Giving Smiles, Giving Birthdays” campaign where we donate money for every new patient that comes to our office. The result has been incredible as many children’s lives have been changed, my staff has come together for the good of others and we’ve even had new patients come to the office as a result of us giving back.”

To date, Kirkpatrick and Lai has been able to positively impact the lives of hundreds of children and looks to make an even greater impact as the practice expands.
