Artist ‘Me Ke Aloha’ launches her single “Hanuka Retell The Story” on iTunes

The single track “Hanuka Retell The Story” by artist “Me Ke Aloha” is now available on iTunes for download. The song is created especially for the festival of Chanukah, the festival of lights which is celebrated at the beginning of the 25th day of the Jewish month of Kislev and lasts for eight days.

The song retells the legend behind the festival which is celebrated with great enthusiasm among the followers of Judaism all over the world. An excerpt of the lyrics say, “Retellthestorytotheyoungandtheold.InmemoryoftheMaccabees,Chanukah,Chanukah”.

The song explains the story of the Maccabees’s victory in gaining their Holy Temple back from Antiochus and the cleansing and rededication of the Temple.

The small group called Maccabees, led by Matitiyahu and his son Judah stood against the Seleucid Assyrian force and became successful in recapturing the Holy Temple. The Temple was rededicated by the priest on 25th of the month of Kislev and in fact, the Jewish word Hanukkah means ‘dedication’ itself.

The tradition says, the high priest lit the golden menorah even though they had only enough oil for one day, it burnt miraculously for eight days.

It is to be noted that Hanukkah is not celebrated because of the victory in the war, as Jews don’t glorify war but it is celebrated to recall the miracle reflected by the oil.

The song portrays the same story in feet tapping and melodious music which has also received great reviews from the listeners. Godwin Johnson mentions, “I love everything about this music. The tune and the melody are superb. I saw talent and professionalism in it. Great job!”while another user Mandyobe123 says, “This is so great and soul lifting. I pray for more of this! What a great job of professionalism, well packaged for my blessing.”

The song is available for download at an affordable price of $0.99 on iTunes
