Successful entrepreneur and real estate investor, Brant Phillips, was recently interviewed for Business Innovators Magazine, discussing his success in business and the real estate market. Phillips, founder of InvestHomePro, started his remodeling company in 2009 on the cusp of the mortgage industry collapse.
His company was successful at renovating foreclosures on behalf of real estate investors that did not have the time or expertise to improve their investment properties. When asked how he was able to turnaround homes within a shorter timeframe than his competitors, while providing high-quality results, Phillips explained how he approached every project as if he was a real estate investor, which helped him meet his clients’ needs and exceed their expectations.
Although Phillips found success in the real estate market, it didn’t come easy. Many investors have inhibitions about entering the market, because they are unsure of themselves or they have other mental obstacles. To this point, Phillips said, “And really, unfortunately, I see a lot of people walk away from deals that they could have made really nice size profits on. And our company actually bought quite a few of those deals where we advised the customer, the client, this is a really good deal. We ran all the numbers and plugged everything in and it made sense.”
Phillips discussed selecting investment properties for himself and his clients, including his approach to dissuading clients from bad deals. The interview reveals Phillips integrity and the need to give clients good advice, despite the monetary outcome for his company.
