EDERLEZI RISING – Remarkable Retro-Futuristic Visual Storytelling

Science Fiction feature film launches IndieGoGo campaign to complete the project

SERBIA, Belgrade – March 21, 2016 – Adult movie star Stoya has completed shooting her debut mainstream feature film EDERLEZI RISING. EDERLEZI RISING is an extraordinary project which combines SCIENCE FICTION, ADULT FILM STAR and SOVIET AESTHETICS.

Stoya is a columnist for Vice and The Verge and has published articles in The New York Times, The New Statesman, The Guardian and The Esquire.

In this Sci-fi melodrama directed by the controversial visual artist Lazar Bodrozha and written by one of the major Serbian screenwriters Dimitrije Vojnov, Stoya is starring with Slovenian /Italian superstar actor Sebastian Cavazza (42) who is a popular and successful Slovenian theatre, movie and television actor with over 100 roles to his name.

The film, EDERLEZI RISING, has been self-funded this entire time. Now, the creators need help from the community to complete the film and finish post-production by the end of this year. They launched an IndieGoGo campaign to raise $50,000. The stretch goal is to complete the movie by September for the premiere in Toronto (TIFF) at the Midnight Madness program. 

EDERLEZI RISING is not just a love story or a sci-fi story. Its depth goes beyond those simple themes and reveals an experiment of humankind. Set in the near future in a totalitarian Soviet ambience, EDERLEZI RISINGis a story of an astronaut sent on a long and dangerous intergalactic mission. During the flight he falls in love with a female android accompanying him on the mission and starts believing that there is a real person inside the machine.
