Steven Tyler, the legendary frontman for the rock band Aerosmith, launched his solo career last year, and not in a genre of music you would expect. Tyler, instead of heading out and performing rock music, decided to start his solo career in country. And now, he has announced his “Out on a Limb” tour.
The “Out on a Limb” tour is expected to start in Las Vegas on July 2nd and has 19 cities on the list so far. Tyler is doing this tour a little bit differently. Rather than focusing on large and crowded arenas like the past, he is going to find more intimate venues. During the concert, you can expect to hear some changes to famous Aerosmith songs as well as the stories that inspired these classics.
While Tyler did tour with Aerosmith last summer, he had not announced a tour date for his solo career until now. He did play a few festivals and concerts along the way, along with releasing two singles in country music. Fans are excited to finally hear more from this rock legend and to see how the tour will be different from some of those in the past.
Tyler says that this is not necessarily a permanent break from Aerosmith and there are no hard feelings. He had decided to try something new and took a break from rock music. Saying he learned from some of his past, he decided to pursue this new passion rather than ignoring it. Fans of Tyler are going to enjoy the changes that come, but should be aware that these concerts will be a bit different. Focusing on the story telling and country music more than the big antics and craziness that Aerosmith is known for may be a bit different, but it is going to lead to a once in a lifetime experience with Tyler.
