Innovative App For Helping People Express And Understand Their Emotions

Mobile app that will improve awareness of one’s feelings.

Salt Lake City, Utah – June 20, 2016 – WeFeel has launched a campaign seeking support from the Kickstarter community to raise $25,000 by July 17, 2016. The mobile application allows users to journal, track, share, and visualize emotions to improve awareness and gain insight into why they feel what they feel. Funds will be used to expand the integration of the app to wearables, build the user management and licensing portal so larger practices and institutions can provide WeFeel to those in their care, launch Phase 2 of development, and grow the subscriber base. 

The inspiration for WeFeel came from Jeff’s, a co-founder, desire to understand people’s emotions and how they work. He wanted to understand the world where he didn’t fit in because he was diagnosed with high-functioning Autism (Aspergers) at the age of 39. With the support of his wife and kids, Jeff decided to create WeFeel to help everyone understand their emotional self and help researchers gain insight to the experiences of emotion. 

WeFeel’s interface allows users to quickly select emotions that they are experiencing at any time. The app enables people to scale the intensity and add items for tracking purposes. It’s designed to be simple and easy to use. Once an emotion is submitted, users can then share it with a loved one, therapist, care provider, or employer. A built-in dashboard provides a visual trend that can filter based on location, social situations, and activity. They have also integrated a social aspect which allows users, especially psychologists, therapists, and other professional care providers, to view accounts of those who have shared with them.
