Coastal Arts Season Debuts With Hull Artists Open Studios

Hull Artists has delighted art lovers with its Open Studios event series for more than twenty years.  This year more than 39 artists will throw open the doors to their home studios and workshops to welcome visitors from all across New England.  The event series will occur from 10-4 on the following weekends, July 9 & 10August 20 & 21.  Plus, brand new this year, an added Tour on October 15 & 16 will sweeten the Fall season.

This year’s Open Studios promises to be especially spectacular with special surprises throughout the community.  Featuring award-winning artists in their home studios, each of the weekends will showcase unique pieces curated especially for the 2016 Open Studios season.

Visitors to Hull call it a “hidden gem.”  In addition to exquisite natural beauty, and lots of restaurants, and seaside activities, Hull is home to countless artists who draw inspiration from the region.  Open Studios has long been a wonderful summertime retreat, allowing visitors to experience the coastal beauty of the peninsula, just 40 minutes outside Boston by car, and a mere 35 minutes by scenic ferry ride from either Boston’s Long Wharf or Rowes Wharf.  Add Art and you have a sublime combination.

“The Arts have immense power to invigorate,” says Karin Nauth Shelley, Hull Open Studios Chair,  and Hull Artists Patron Member.  “Our artists are extremely talented and represent wonderful range. There is something here for all art lovers to appreciate.”
