Lady Lu Ye Performance at Olympic Gala Canceled Due to High Security Risk.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – 8 Aug, 2016 – Lu Ye, who was recently knighted in Italy as Lady Lu Ye, was scheduled to perform at the 2016 Olympics opening concert at Santuario de Cristo in Rio de Janeiro. Due to the high risk of terrorism at the event the concert had to be cancelled.

Lu Ye made a statement with well wishes for the 2016 Summer Olympic games on August 6th, “I am very sad and disturbed more than disappointed that the Olympic opening gala concert of August 4th, due to high risk of security, has been finally cancelled.  I only wish the Olympic Games in Rio will have a successful completion.  I wish everyone a safe and victorious time and may the Olympic spirit of friendship and peace continue forever.”

The concert would have been the first gala concert ever to be held at the extraordinary Santuario de Cristo.
