CHICAGO – Packed with Purpose, the only hand-picked, curated gift boxes of artisanal products produced by social enterprises and purpose-driven companies nationwide, launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise $30,000 by Oct. 15, 2016 to fund the revolutionary gift box truly packed with purpose.
Unlike traditional companies that support a cause by giving back either a portion of the revenues to a cause or donate an item for an item sold, Packed with Purpose scours the U.S. to curate high-quality, eco-friendly artisan crafted products that have the greatest impact on communities in need. Packed with Purpose developed an exceptionally stringent supplier selection and social business vetting process to ensure all suppliers are continually providing the best quality of unique and sophisticated products, and reinvest their profits in order to increase their social good.
“Gift-givers often choose the hottest or priciest gift or resort to purchasing a simple gift card, but these gifts don’t elicit excitement or true gratitude by the recipient,” said Leeatt Rothschild, founder of Packed with Purpose. “I wanted to capture the heartfelt feeling of gift giving by creating a more impactful gift that not only delights the recipient, but that also creates social good; a gift that is meaningful to give and to receive. Each gift box has products that contribute to causes such as creating employment, providing job skills training, coaching at-risk youth and other valuable societal impact.”
Each gift box item is elegantly packaged and presented in a signature white and wine colored box with items securely wrapped in recycled kraft paper.
For the first box, Packed with Purpose has selected five luxurious products representing a strong network of suppliers who are dedicated to improving the lives of others, including:
• Beelove: Known for its freshly made honey and honey infused skin care products, beelove products help people facing significant barriers to employment gain valuable job skills, particularly those with histories of criminal conviction.
• Bright Endeavors: Known for its sweet smelling soy candles, Bright Endeavors gives young mothers, who are often the victims of abuse, an opportunity to develop job skills, gain leadership and responsibility within a professional environment.
• Sulpice Chocolat: An artisanal chocolate company and dedicated fair trade brand, all Sulpice chocolates are non-GMO, gluten-free, kosher and contain nothing artificial. A portion of the proceeds from sales benefit a nonprofit committed to fighting childhood obesity.
Packed with Purpose gift boxes are sold individually for $49 or are available through a seasonal subscription service, where a curated box of new and original products are sent every three months or four times a year. As part of the Indiegogo campaign, special rewards and tiers are offered for backers looking to purchase more than one box. Packed with Purpose is also accepting large quantity orders that can be customized for special occasions, corporate events and the holiday season.
Starting in early 2017, Packed with Purpose will unveil a variety of gift box options and begin accepting larger orders from their website at https://packedwithpurpose.gifts.
