Revolutionary online platform ‘TreeLife’ showing new way to offset carbon emissions seeks crowdfund support

Cambridge student has recently launched a crowdfunding campaign at Indiegogo in support of his revolutionary online platform TreeLife that shows a game-changing way to offset carbon emission through its carbon footprint calculator and innovative strategy to conserve CO2 forever in trees.

Marylebone, London, December 6, 2016: An enterprising and green-conscious Cambridge student, Mark Bajada, has recently launched a crowdfunding campaign at Indiegogo seeking support for his new-age online platform TreeLife. Cofounded with Joseph Skehan (Keele University) and Jozerd Costan (Cambridge University), the foundation speaks of a new way to offset carbon emissions through its carbon footprint calculator and unique strategy of CO2 conservation in newly planted trees. The coolest bit is that TreeLife assures effective offset of carbon footprint with no compromise of personal lifestyle.

The crowdfunding campaign is geared to raise around £32,000 within December 21, 2016.

“With carbon emissions skyrocketing every passing day, we are soon to witness a severe climatic catastrophe. We often rely on government officials to take the lead by the environmental concern is never on top of their agenda. Thus, we as individuals, have to come forward with our bit to fight global warming and conserve our planet. In fact, your carbon footprint is even larger than you realize because a good lot of carbon emissions happen through the manufacturing & development of your everyday items. TreeLife offers you a breakthrough online platform to calculate your individual carbon footprint accurately so that you can understand which aspect of your lifestyle you can offset. As you decide how much CO2 you can offset, you can buy that specific amount from our trees and as the tree dies we will plant a new tree, so that the CO2 gets consumed and conserved in the tree. However, such a futuristic project demands robust financial support and hence this crowdfunding campaign. Your generous support would be much appreciated”, stated Mark Bajada while announcing the crowdfunding campaign.

The TreeLife calculator comes with an extensive breakup of everyday activities that contribute towards the user’s carbon footprint. There are 5 main categories- flights, transportation, energy at home, technology and dietary lifestyle.

What separates TreeLife from other tree planting foundations is that the former has promised an indefinite storage of the bought amount of CO2 so that it stays conserved forever.

“Our land acquisition has been carried out with serious consideration on several factors like proper conservation of the natural habitats and indigenous species. We are only growing trees with longer life-spans and that are beneficial to our entire eco-system. And as, we have hired the local community for our project, it means a whole new set of employment opportunities for the people here. We are very serious about the maintenance of the trees and would ensure regular monitoring on their health and status”, noted Joseph Skehan and Jozerd Costan adding that their site heartily welcomes interested students working on ecological & environmental researches.

A great host of perks are waiting for the backers. These include clean phone charging, tablet charging and laptop charging based on the offset of CO2 equivalent to charge the devices. Pledges reaching £50 & £100 would mean help with green driving and green smartphone. Higher donations leveling to £500-£1000 would be honored with green flying and a pledge of £5000 would be exclusively rewarded with Green World Trip.
