Home of the Acupuncture Master featured on NASDAQ Billboard in Times Square, New York

Right before the merry Christmas season, a film showing the story of great Chinese acupuncturist Yang Jizhou and his home, Qujiang, China was featured on the NASDAQ billboard at Times Square, New York City. The film, titled Home of the Acupuncture Master, featured on the seven storey high, 900 square meters wide billboard for a week, earning wide attention from the public, including millions of citizens, tourists and the press.


       Home of the Acupuncture Master tells the story of the legendary Chinese acupuncturist Yang Jizhou and his great achievements in acupuncture and moxibustion. Beginning with a single golden acupuncture needle, the film tells the story by three chapters. “the Legend of Yang Jizhou”, “the Home River of Qujiang”, and “the Chinese Dream of Holistic Health”.


       Yang Jizhou has been one of the greatest acupuncturists dating back from the Ming Dynasty. His world-renowned Compendium of Acupuncture has been acknowledged as one of the most influential works in acupuncture and moxibustion and represents the epitome of acupuncture practice. Rooting from Yang Jizhou’s philosophy of health, Qujiang has also formed a “Five-fold health culture” including air health, water health, food health, medical health and heart health. This ” Five-fold health culture” has deeply influenced Quzhou’s economical development in all areas including agriculture, food, medicine and cultural industries.


       Home of the Acupuncture Master is directed by famous Chinese director, founder of V.Webstar (Beijing) Ltd. Zhang Juncheng, and produced by Keystone Pictures (Beijing) Ltd. Following the film is a live broadcasting series Let the Beauties show you Qujiang, which links local cultural and business resources in Qujiang with China’s latest cyber celebrity (wanghong) economy and live broadcasting technology.        Home of the Acupuncture Master made its world premiere at the International Conference of World Federation of Acupuncture – Moxibustion Society, Tokyo, 2016, earning a wide appreciation from the participating experts around the world. Qujiang has also become the standing site of World Health Conference of Acupuncture and Moxibustion. Following the Times Square feature, Home of the Acupuncture Master will continue to feature at international film festivals.
