AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS – 21 Mar, 2017 – FANS3D is going where no film maker has dared to tread before. The lives of celebrity fans is one where ‘a smile and a tear alternate’. Directed by 30-year-old Dutch filmmaker Rick Le Brand, the movie will delve into multiple stories of fans from across the world, in countries as diverse as the Netherlands,USA, England, Brazil, Australia, India, China, Japan, Russia and more. Viewers will be treated to behind-the-scenes acts of celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Cristiano Ronaldo and Beyoncé.
Fans and their lives are often seen as a strange, alternating patchwork of ups and downs, and joys and sorrows. It’s also a community that has awaited the cameras to follow them all the way back home, and get up, close and personal with their idol inspired lives. FANS3D will do all of this, while also revealing how the celebrities themselves perceive the lives of their life-long admirers.
What makes FANS3D special is the use of three dimensional effects to re-create the real lives of fans. “In this way, it has never seen before,” says Rick Le Brand. “It will be the first 3D documentary ever created about the lives of extreme fans from around the world. It is a dire exciting and unique film full of madness and then also with real people. So no actors! You will sit on the edge of your seat!”
Production work on FANS3D is slated to begin July 2017, and talks are underway with international distributors for a grand global release tentatively in March 2018 at the Tuschinski theater in Amsterdam. The team has already raised $100,000 through investors, and is now seeking more funds through a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.
As perks, investors on Indiegogo will get the opportunity to be a part of the movie, join the production crew backstage, get celebrity merchandise, and they may even get a chance to be present at a ‘meet and greet’.
