Tech Company Will Pay for Nonprofits’ Facebook Ads, Announces ‘Year of Causes’

BLACKSBURG, VA – 22 Mar, 2017 – “There’s no such thing as a free lunch.” That is, unless you’re working with Click & Pledge, a technology company that helps nonprofits conduct online fundraising.

Beginning today, Click & Pledge will integrate its software to add the option of creating and publishing Facebook advertisements. These ads will link directly to the nonprofit’s fundraising campaign or donation webpage, also created within Click & Pledge’s fundraising platform.

While there are several Software-as-a-Service companies providing payment processing and online fundraising capabilities, Click & Pledge believes it’s the first to offer this degree of social media integration.

“We are likely the only company in our industry that offers this kind of service with Facebook’s Ad Manager platform,” said Kamran Razvan, Click & Pledge’s CEO, “and what’s more, we’re definitely the only company that’s absorbing the entire cost.”

Two of the toughest challenges for the nonprofit sector are expanding awareness, while keeping marketing and advertising costs to a minimum. The company says this is the first of many efforts it will take to help alleviate this sector’s dilemma.

As its mantra for 2017, Click & Pledge promised this would be the “Year of Causes.” Instead of spending its marketing budget on its own brand, Click & Pledge has resolved to invest its time and resources into marketing its “Causes,” a moniker the company uses to refer to its customers.

Advertising on Facebook is seen as a benefit to many marketers trying to reach a large population, while keeping costs to a minimum. Depending on the audience and the ads’ effectiveness, Facebook advertisements have the potential to reach hundreds, or thousands, of prospective audience members. This is all at a fraction of the cost it takes to publish a website banner ad, or a traditional newspaper or magazine advertisement.
