For almost a decade, Open Air Stereo has been producing upbeat rock music for its fans around the world. The band consists of Scott Pounds, Evan Smith, Nick Gross and Chase Johnson (who has made numerous appearances on the hit television show Laguna Beach). Open Air Stereo is proud to announce the release of their latest, self-titled EP on September 23, 2014.
Open Air Stereo has been one of Southern California’s most popular rock bands with sold out shows at the Troubadour and other concert arenas. The band has headlined numerous concerts and festivals including the KCXX 103.9 Acoustic Christmas show. It has also been featured on premier platforms like USA Today and Playboy Radio. Their last 10-song LP, PRIMATES was a popular and critical success.
The Open Air Stereo EP is an exciting opportunity for the band to help many of their favorite charities. The initial 20 percent of all sales (up to $10,000) will go towards charitable organizations like Autism Speaks, The Young and Brave, and City of Hope, while 50 percent of sales over $10,000 will go to charity. City of Hope is one of the nation’s finest cancer research institutions, while The Young and Brave foundation assists children and teens diagnosed with cancer. Autism Speaks is one of the nation’s foremost charitable organizations dedicated to improving awareness about autism and developing treatments.
In an effort to include its legions of fans, Open Air Stereo has invited the public to help launch their latest EP by contributing on PledgeMusic.com. In return for donations, contributors may earn valuable rewards like signed T-shirts, concert DVD’s, posters, day passes to the recording sessions or even an opportunity to record a song with OAS.
