Hungarian startup Armalab has launched a crowdfunding campaign at Indiegogo in support of its innovative prosthetic arm ARM-XR that will help in driving vehicles with straight handling bar.

Diósd, Hungary – June 26, 2017 – Hungary-based startup Armalab has recently launched a crowdfunding campaign at Indiegogo to support its unique prosthetic arm ARM-XR. Backed by years of innovation, this high-end prosthetic device is engineered to help in drivingvehicleswith straight handling bar. From cycling to motorcycling to jet-skiing or running a snowmobile.

The crowdfunding campaign is geared to raise around $480,000 within 1 month.

“We are excited to introduce our state of the art prosthetic arm ARM-XR that will help people to drive vehicles with straight handling bar. Although, it is designed for extreme driving conditions so that you can easily take part in those rushing motorcycling or cycling races, the main aim of this product is to have a one device that could be used for the daily commute, normal use and also under extreme circumstances. Don’t worry, our innovative prosthetic device assures utmost comfort and an unforgettable experience for our users. We want to tell you that losing an arm is no more a handicap thing when you are so keen to get back to the racing arena and our ARM-XR would be your best buddy here,” stated Gergo Ladanyi, who co-founded Armalab with prosthetic tech expert Peter Bengo.

“It’s made with high-strength aerospace grade aluminum alloy to ensure maximum durability and robust support. We promise you highest quality at par with the best development standards. We have reached to the prototype stage and looking forward to production on a bigger scale and delivery at lower prices for our users. But that would call for a robust financial backup and hence this crowdfunding campaign. Your generous support would be much appreciated”, Peter Bengo added in.

The money raised from the crowdfunding campaign would be helpful to reduce the manufacturing cost of ARM-XR in large scale. It would further help the company to extend the advanced prosthetic device at low prices to a great range of users. Gergo said they would also utilize the funding for marketing to reach out to medical professionals.

ARM-XR is equipped with Armalab’s patented locking-release system. The moment the user will release the steering bar, the device would release too.

Peter Bengo is the man behind ARM-XR. He has been into prosthetic development for 7 long years now. His first ever project was a modification of a prosthetic product for extreme use which formed the base for the breakthrough ARM-XR he has designed today. The latest device was first implemented for a 5 year old kid which met with tremendous success. Peter himself had made all the parts of ARM-XR by hand during its development and initial testing phases.
