Los Angeles, CA (August 29, 2017) – When the battle is on the big screen.

During last weekend’s prominent Las Vegas boxing championship, UFC lightweight champion, Conor McGregor, defeated Floyd Mayweather, a mixed martial artist in the 10th round.

In honor of Celtic fighter, Colin McGregor’s amazing showing and Glen Kirby’s crime-filled, fight drama about a Celtic fighter, “FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT”, TriCoast Entertainment compiled a list of fighting films throughout the decades, containing the most life-like violence and intensity and soul put into the sport.

“FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT” captures absentee father, William McCrae (Matthew Jure), who finds himself utilizing his past boxing career to fight for his family. His determination to avenge his son’s murders and desperate need for his family’s redemption depicts his attempt to rebuild his family’s newly shattered lives.

This is our list of the “Top 10 Fighting Films”:

1. “Rocky” (1976) – John G. Avildsen

Starring Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa, a small-time Philadelphia boxer battles the reigning heavyweight champion, Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers).

2. “Never Back Down” (2008) – Jeff Wadlow

This huge box office hit is centered on a teenager who encounters trouble at his new high school, against an MMA champion.

3. “Raging Bull” (1980) – Martin Scorsese

One of Robert De Niro’s best performances, which brings true realism to the art and life of a boxer.

4. “The Fighter” (2010) – David O. Russell

The combination of Hollywood stars, Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale, and awarded as an Oscar winning film, “The Fighter” is a must-see fight film.

5. “Warrior” (2011) – Gavin O’Connor

Tommy (Tom Hardy) leaves the Marines to join his father, a recovering alcoholic and former wrestling coach, only to encounter his estranged brother, Brendan (Joel Edgerton).

6. “Million Dollar Baby” (2004) – Clint Eastwood

7. “Fight the Good Fight” (2017) – Glen Kirby

When William McCrae finds himself in a dark depression, his fight for revenge and redemption for his family brings his past boxing career into the present, resulting in a life of crime and violence.

8. “Undisputed” (2002 – 2016) – Walter Hill

Heavyweight boxer, George “Iceman” Chambers (Ving Rhames), faces his biggest fight once imprisoned, facing top ranked prison boxing champ and martial artist, Monroe “Undisputed” Hutchens, (Wesley Snipes).

9. “Fight Club” (1999) – David Fincher

As one of the best street-fighting films, “Fight Club” parallels the narrator’s miserable, corporate American culture, until he meets Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt), whose life inspires the narrator (Edward Norton) to become a different person.

10. “Cinderella Man” (2005) – Ron Howard

Set during the Great Depression, James Braddock (Russell Crowe) gets injured until he gets another shot in the ring, hoping to become a hero for America’s working class.

In the last two years, “FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT” succeeded greatly at the Edinburg International Film Festival, with nominations at the “Best British Strand” in 2016 and “The Michael Powell Award Best British Film Award” in 2017.

Kirby’s highly entertaining drama features outstanding performers, such as Ian Bettie (“Alexander”, “Game of Thrones”) and Thomas Beatty (“True Strength”, “Nature of the Beast”). But, William McCure’s role (Matthew Jure – “Night Bus”, “Starlight & Superfish”) steals the show by captivating the audience, as they continuously root for him as the protagonist.
