(LOS ANGELES, September 19, 2017) – Worldwide Business with kathy ireland® is pleased to announce an exclusive interview featuring Intelligent Medical Objects President, Regis Charlot, Vice President of Product Launch and Integration, Matt Cardwell and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Andrew Kanter . The interview will focus on the company’s mission to enable and support the accurate capture and preservation of clinical intent for clinical documentation, decision support, reimbursement, reporting, data analysis, research and health education.

At Intelligent Medical Objects, a core team of clinicians, software developers and engineers combine computer science and medical expertise to help patients and healthcare providers access high-quality health information quickly and easily in order to improve total patient health. The company aims to develop, manage and license medical terminology and healthcare IT software applications that allow clinicians to capture their clinical intent at the point of care. To put it simply, Intelligent Medical Objects seeks to bridge the gap between clinical language and complex coding systems. The company is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Kanter says that Intelligent Medical Objects was founded after identifying a need for clinical interface terminology and technology. He explains, “Intelligent Medical Objects actually began its life as a computer science department in a medical school. We developed our own electronic medical record that was later sold. So, we deeply understand the importance of the foundation terminology to driving all the good things we want to do in healthcare. Whether it’s quality improvement, decision support, population health, analytics, all of that actually needs to be captured in a medical record. Physicians weren’t using these systems at all in the past, and the language was a real barrier to them to interact with the system. We felt that if we could overcome that barrier by producing clinician-friendly terminology and allowing them to see and actually interact with the systems in a more constructive way, then we could bring them into the picture and actually allow them to have more involvement in the actual care of their patients. It had been moving away from that.”

JL Haber, Vice President of Programming for Worldwide Business with kathy ireland®, is delighted to feature Intelligent Medical Objects. He says, “In today’s healthcare world, clinical information can be complicated. But luckily, Intelligent Medical Objects has stepped up to make sense of it all. This innovative company provides critical solutions for clinical communication that maximizes reimbursement, increases the efficiency of workflow in our healthcare systems, makes doctor/patient relationships better and so much more. It’s no wonder why 450,000 physicians worldwide use Intelligent Medical Objects. We’re so thrilled to have Intelligent Medical Objects on our show.”
