About Robert Horton
Robert J. Horton was born in Albemarle, North Carolina on March 3, 1962. His mother started a choir around 1980 and deep in her soul, she knew Robert, her son would sing someday. Robert’s mother had 11 children and Robert is the youngest. Robert’s mother was a Pastor and she started a choir around 1980 in their church. The choir was named, “The Voices of Many Waters”. The word of this great choir soon spreaded throughout the community and they traveled to many churches and engagements to sing weekly.
At the age of 16 Robert started writing and singing music. His passion for music kept him up day and night, but he soon realized this is what God planted in his life: To Be A Great Musician and to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ by music and songs. While searching for backup singers from time to time, he had family members as backup singers before going to college. Robert attended Stanley Technical Community College in Albemarle, North Carolina. He is a member of God’s Holy Tabernacle in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
Robert recorded his first song in 1979 entitled “People All Over The World Need Jesus” and his second single was entitled “What You Gonna Do About Jesus” which was released on September 15, 2015.
Robert recently appeared on The Bobby Jones Gospel Music Program in Nashville, Tennessee (September 2016).
