“I just love seeing small businesses succeed with live streaming,” says Paul Richards, Chief Streaming Officer at PTZOptics. It’s an interesting moment watching a business owner flip the open sign to read “closed” as we temporarily lock the doors to broadcast to a larger audience online than one would expect to simply walk through the door.” Krystal sends out a dedicated message to her email list right before the broadcast and leverages Facebook’s automated messaging system contacting everyone who likes her page. The broadcast includes professional PTZOptics cameras used to show detailed product imagery during the broadcast.
“It’s incredible to see a QVC style production in a small boutique like this” says Reinhard. “We were able to review over 15 products in a single one hour broadcast so that’s means we can repurpose the video in post-production to create another 15 video for YouTube.” The StreamGeeks share how they use a combination of vMix and Adobe Photoshop to display television style overlays of the products shown.
In order to generate even more interest, Krystall offers coupon codes for discounts during the broadcast. This is a great way to increase conversions and turn live viewers into customers. Of course, we have set Krystall expectations to be realistic and understand that much of social media promotion is about attraction and engagement. It could take time to turn viewers into paying customers but we are excited to share the results of her first broadcast in this episode 🙂
