The World Egg Bank (TWEB) will be attending The Donor Egg Meeting from April 26-29 2018, in Isle of Palms, South Carolina. This is the 20th anniversary of The Donor Egg Meeting.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Then and Now.” Caderina Carrizosa, Chief Operating Officer, will be representing TWEB at the conference this year along with Dr. Jeffrey Russell, Medical Director
This meeting is designed to address the needs of reproductive endocrinologists, fertility nurses, embryologists, and other clinical and health staff in the field on the topics of oocyte donation and third-party reproduction.
The World Egg Bank focuses solely on oocyte donation and plans to educate attendees on the advantages of working with us in this rapidly growing field. The World Egg Bank recently unveiled new options for recipients to obtain donor eggs and looks forward to sharing them with the attendees.

“As the only egg bank worldwide built solely for egg donation, we find attending this conference extremely important. It is our goal to inform the physicians, nurses, and other staff on how we manage all donor recruiting, screening, consents, stimulation, retrievals, vitrification and shipping under one roof; we do not ‘out-source’ any facet of our donor management from start to finish. We are excited to educate others on how we have developed the highest level of quality controls in the egg banking,” said Carrizosa.
Improvements in cryopreservation techniques have made the use of frozen donor eggs an increasingly popular option. According to the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, in 2014, 2886 recipient cycle starts used frozen donor eggs; in 2015, this number rose to 3215. The World Egg Bank hopes to help even more recipients conceive with frozen eggs in America and abroad.
The World Egg Bank sets high industry standards for egg quality and cultivating close relationships with egg donors and recipients. TWEB operates a state of the art retrieval facility with a singular focus on egg freezing. This has shown to further improve egg quality by providing consistent and better controlled monitoring, procedures, and environment. TWEB’s roster includes hundreds of donors and has thousands of eggs available for immediate shipment.
