New Release Fills Void for Hands-On Bible Reference

In a world of instant access to information online, there is still room for hands-on desktop references. J. Stephen Jordan has compiled one such reference book, the Desktop Bible Reference (Reliant Publishing). The truths of the Bible are alphabetically catalogued in this valuable resource for ministry students, pastors, Bible teachers.

Jordan, an Assembly of God pastor says, “As a result of forty years of pastoring, I realize most people could use a reference book that gives them an easy-to-use format on what the Bible teaches. People need assistance in where to find the right quotes and background information on the subjects they want to know more about.”

The Desktop Bible Reference is a compilation of information intended for beginners as well as those experienced in biblical knowledge. Designed to enhance the reader’s knowledge of what the Bible teaches, the reference features biblical content summarized alphabetically, easily located information, word definitions, a chronological representation of biblical content, maps detailing geography and Bible times journeys, as well as scripture and biblical concepts cross-referenced.

“This book is unique in its purpose and layout. The reader will find it easy to locate where and what the Bible says about the most important subjects the Bible teaches,” says Jordan. Now retired, he taught for a time at the Lighthouse Bible Institute, and was the Christian Evangelistic Assemblies district treasurer for Oregon and Washington for four years, as well as serving as senior pastor for twenty years at Cornerstone Christian Worship Center in Downey, California.
