HOUSTON / NEW YORK (October 2018) – Energy companies from 37 countries have been selected as finalists for the S&P Global Platts Global Energy Awards. The 2018 finalists were announced by program host S&P Global Platts, the leading global provider of energy and commodities information and spot market benchmarks.
Remote Operations Center (ROC), the only pure play control room service provider for pipeline operators, has been selected as a finalist in the Rising Star – Company category for the Global Energy Awards. ROC connects top talent, rigorous process safety and leading technology to provide third-party control room operations for liquids and gas pipeline operators. Providing service to over 6,000 miles of pipelines, spanning crude, natural gas, saltwater disposal and refined products, ROC offers expertise and services that support every pipeline operator’s goal of safe, reliable and efficient operations.
Established in 1999 and often described as “the Oscars of the energy industry,” Global Energy Awards highlight corporate and individual innovation, leadership and superior performance in 19 categories that span the entire energy complex.
“Pipeline operators rely heavily on the safe and reliable performance of assets spread across geographically disparate locations. By providing 24/7 safety monitoring with the ability to take operational control to increase efficiency and expedite emergency response, we provide a strong layer of risk mitigation while also lowering operational expenditures,” said ROC’s CEO Louis Krannich. “We launched ROC just two years ago to address an unmet need in the industry and we are honored to be named a finalist among some of the industry’s best.”
ROC’s control room services include SCADA development, 24/7 monitoring and control, leak detection and all compliance requirements associated with operating a control room for regulated assets. From a centralized location, ROC monitors pipeline safety, controls field devices, dispatches personnel, analyzes risk and optimizes assets for facilities across all major US basins.
Hundreds of energy industry representatives are expected to attend the 2018 Global Energy Awards black-tie dinner gala in New York City on December 6. The awards program will be emceed by CNBC Reporter Jackie DeAngelis.
