NEW YORK, USA – Parking Hero, a mobile application simplifying parking on the streets of New York City, lets drivers know if, where, and for how long they can park vehicles on the city’s streets. Created by E16 Labs, L.L.C and Vermillion Sky, Parking Hero is growing in popularity amongst New York City’s driving population.
With Parking Hero, determine where you can park and for how long, and quickly identify metered and unmetered parking spots in New York City. Advanced in-app functionality lets users know if alternate side parking, or other special ordinances, are in effect due to holidays, events, or inclement weather. Using information obtained from the New York City Department of Transportation’s parking regulations and alternate side parking calendar, users rest assured information they receive in real-time from the app is up to date. Gone are the days of uncertainty when it comes to parking on city streets and paying costly tickets from accidentally parking illegally.
A free and Pro version of the application is available. The free, ad-supported application tells users where they are parked based using GPS location and whether the said spot is legal parking or not. It also comes with the Alternate Side Parking feature, and a glossary of all New York City parking regulations, for quick, easy reference.
Alternatively, the Pro version can be purchased as a subscription. With the free app features included, the Pro version also lets users look ahead to find and check the availability of parking options on future dates. Users can also change the class of vehicle they are hoping to park, from passenger to commercial vehicle or truck, directly from the application.
Currently available in New York City’s five boroughs of Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Bronx, and Staten Island, Parking Hero and its technology will soon expand to other major U.S. cities and urban areas. Parking in high-density metropolitan areas can be a challenge and keeping track of the various street parking rules and ordinances at any given time can be a hassle.
