It was then upgraded to simulate the manufacturing process of these products. Recently, ABB moved the technology to packaging as well. ABB Robotics has included its digital twin technology into the PickMaster robotic software, now being called PickMaster Twin. The aim is to use the digital twin technology to reduce the commissioning times of vision-guided, random flow picking, and packing applications. The digital twin technology essentially provides manufacturers with the tools to test robotic configurations on virtual production lines and assess before building physical lines or implementing on live production lines.
