The Excellence in Partnership Honoree Award is an initiative by the Coalition for Government Procurement. The award was developed around 18 years back with the mission to pay tribute to the great individuals and organizations in the acquisition community that have made major contributions to the procurement system that complements the needs of agency mission and add significant value to them.

The President and CEO of CoronadoDC, Carlos A. Flores initiated his career as a Logistics Specialist in the US Navy. His excellent contributions to the Navy earned him several awards and recognition for his immense knowledge and acumen in the supply chain department. He attained his B.A. in Public Administration and MBA in Executive Leadership from the University of San Diego. After he left the Navy, he channelized his drive for supply chain management and logistics to establish Coronado DC.
Mr. Flores has always been one of the most committed advocates for veterans since nearly a decade. An US Navy veteran, he does understand the significance of supporting the armed forces. It was through his hiring efforts in 2019, around 20% of Coronado’s present employee count is represented by veterans, retirees as well as spouses of active-duty personnel. The company has recently joined San Diego Navy League Chapter to conduct local business with the US Navy. Carlos has even extended direct assistance to spouses of veterans for higher education.
