Their search ended at Chef Monnipa Rungthong who is a well know Thai chef. She is a connoisseur in bringing the best out of Thai dishes and is one of the most well-liked Chefs in Bangkok, Thailand.
Chef Rungthong had worked with Banyan Tree prior to her joining hands with the Panthera Group of Paul Hayward Thailand. Since her joining Panthera Group, the Chef has taken over the duties of an Executive Chef for Thai Cuisine for all Panthera Kictches under their Yumbite brand.

Interestingly, Chef Rungthong’s fervor for cooking has been passed onto her from her mother. Her mother’s recipes, which were made of the savoring traditional Thai taste, were her biggest incitement to pursue in the field of cooking. Her mother’s food gave her fond childhood memories of traditional Thai home-cooked meals with motherly love. Chef Rungtong has stated about the food and job she picks; “Not only does every region of Thailand have its own culinary style, using a variety of different spices and ingredients exclusive from one region to another, the heat level is also different, and southern Thai dishes use strong herbs.”
