January 10, 2020 – Bangkok, Thailand – Bangkok’s premier Digital PR and Brand Storytelling provider, Lexicon Business Communications, has appointed a new Chief Storytelling Officer to oversee the company’s creative departments.
Steve Callerame, who has worked with the award-winning digital marketing company since its establishment in 2015, was appointed to the new position. Prior to this appointment, he was Lexicon’s senior content writer and English-language editor. In the new role, Steve will collaborate with all of Lexicon’s creative teams, as they help clients bring their brands to life through storytelling.
“I’m thrilled and honored to take on this responsibility,” Steve said about his new position. “Lexicon is home to a group of very talented people across many disciplines, and for me, the best part of this role will be the opportunity to work directly with such a creative and artistically-minded group. We’ve already got several exciting projects in the works, which we’ll be rolling out in the coming weeks and months.”
Steve graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a double major in English and Rhetoric, as well as a minor in Cinema Studies. He then worked as a section editor and film critic for an entertainment magazine in Champaign, Illinois, before moving abroad to work as a freelance writer. Recruited by Lexicon’s founder and managing director David Norcross, Steve was the company’s very first employee and he played a vital role in building the organization from the ground up. Today, Lexicon employs over 30 full-time staff.
“The company has grown a lot faster than I had imagined,” David said. “Throughout the years, we have employed many talented people who specialize in video production, animation and graphics, website building, and a full suite of software-related solutions for our customers. Originally our aim was purely content writing and social media management; however, we soon discovered that all departments need to have the same outlook and creative direction in order to create meaningful stories for our clients. Steve will now work together with our teams as Chief Storytelling Officer to make sure everyone is working under the same unified vision.”
Lexicon’s move to create the Chief Storytelling Officer role coincides with its website relaunch and office relocation. Lexicon is also readying the launch of its own magazine, BKK Edition, which will cover news and entertainment in a Thai context. These developments come relatively soon after another Lexicon milestone, as the company had recently completed a major acquisition of software company Next Step Systems. Originally based in Hong Kong, Next Step was soon integrated into the Lexicon’s innovative TechLab department.
Lexicon is a digital marketing agency in Bangkok, Thailand using branded storytelling to connect clients with their ideal audience through social media marketing, website design, video production, branding, copywriting and a full range of Bangkok creative agency services as well as a Bangkok translation service.
